Remember that sweet little Kratos SackBoy? It's one of the promotional pieces of virtual merchandise SCEA has planned for the LittleBigPlanet launch in October, and at the time, we were wondering which retailers would be embracing which extras.
Well, GameStop now has pre-order information, and that's where you need to go if you want that Kratos costume for the game's adorable and versatile main character. This isn't an actual SackBoy doll; it's an in-game bonus you will receive by using the downloadable voucher code you get from GameStop. The costume itself has four individual components - a Kratos skin, goatee, clothing, and of course, those deadly Blades of Athena - which can be mixed and match any way you see fit. However, if this doesn't interest you, perhaps you'd like to pre-order from Amazon instead; they're offering a Brady Games strategy guide, which was described at the official PlayStation blog as "a primer for LittleBigPlanet's CREATE tools and provides users with a quick tutorial to begin developing their own levels."
As for the rest of the stuff, like the LittleBigStickerBook or that Nariko costume, we have no details as of yet. They may not come via per-order campaigns from retailers; we'll have to keep an eye on what transpires. LittleBigPlanet mania is already starting!

The critically-acclaimed racing game GRID is currently on sale for $39.99 for today only. With a respectable score of 88 over at Metacritic, the game is a must-have if you are a driving-sim fan. When you consider the regular price of The Eye of Judgment is $65, this deal becomes readily apparent. This Eye-enabled card game used real cards and the PS3 to create an experience unlike any other -- Yu-Gi-Oh! cosplayers, this game's for you. Considering it includes the (rarely supported) PlayStation Eye, the price isn't too shabby. You can pick up it for $40 at Circuit City, but your local Wal-Mart may also have it for even cheaper: $30. Check your local store to see if you can get lucky.

What's better t han a cheap game? Two cheap games, obviously. Not only has Play.com cut all their platinum PS3 game prices by £5, but they're also offering two for £25. A saving of £15 off the RRP. Not bad at all, when you consider these games were the cream of the crop in 2007. You can choose between Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Heavenly Sword, MotorStorm, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Resistance: Fall of Man. So what are you waiting for? Go get some cheap games.
Oh yeah, there are also a few Blu-ray movies included in the deal, in case you already have the titles listed above.

It may not be an official "Greatest Hits" game quite yet, but Criterion's PS3 racing game, Burnout Paradise, is now available at many major retailers for only $30 -- that's half off its original price. PS3 owners are undoubtedly looking even more closely at the game, ever since the announcement of extensive free DLC for the game (which adds motorcycles, planes) and the addition of PS3 Trophies.

Those of you who were on the fence about the Soulcalibur Limited Edition Fighting Stick 3 by Hori last month might want to reconsider the peripheral again: the price has been reduced $8 to $41.99. Not too bad for a newly released product.
We are aware there are some higher-end fighting sticks around, but at this price range, this particular one is unbeatable. With Soulcalibur IV arriving in stores a week from today, order one now and you might just have it ready when you bring the game home.

So if you haven't heard, Metal Gear Solid 4 is a pretty amazing game. Another great PS3 game is available for a bargain price in the UK today. Argos, the high street catalog shop, has Ratchet and Clank up on its website for the excellent price of £14.99 -- a saving of £25. Our tipster assures us that this is less than you'd expect to pay on ebay, so definitely make sure you grab this one. Unfortunately, R&C won't be supporting trophies until at least after Resistance 2 gets released. Even then, it's not a certainty, but don't let that put you off. Ratchet & Clank is easily our second favorite PS3 exclusive from 2007 and at this price, it's well worth a punt.

Sure, the PS3 version of The Orange Box has some issues. But when you realize that you're getting five excellent games for only $32, a few framerate hiccups seem like nothing. The Orange Box dropped down to $40 recently, but amazon.com is currently selling the game for only $32. If you haven't tried Portal yet, there really is no excuse!

Amazing deal on an incredible game: Metal Gear Solid 4 for the low price of $39.99. Before you run off to try and to purchase a copy for yourself there are two major restrictions. First, this must be purchased in-store (sorry no online shopping) so you would have to be located in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, or Ohio and close to a Meijer. Since today happens to be the 4th of July your only chance to redeem this extraordinary deal is tomorrow July 5th. Fortunately, if you live in the states mentioned above then you are in luck, most Meijer are open 24 hours a day and are located very conveniently. At this price, Midwesterners have no excuse not to purchase a game of this caliber for this unbelievable price.
